The 15th has a flat narrow fairway but land that slopes from
right to left on either side. The green is substantially lower than the
fairway and is protected by two deep bunkers to the front.
Pro’s tip:
It is often said at West Hove that “The golf course starts here”. A narrow
blind tee shot that will often lead to a blind second for the shorter
hitters. Always walk forward to take a look to see where the green and
flag are located and to check that those in front have moved on. Take less
club than normal as the ball is in the air longer for the drop down to the
green. |
